3) What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

After some deep thought i have come to the conclusion that there are a small number of companies that could distribute our media product. Small companies such as film 4 and dogwoof would potentially be able to distribute our film to the masses. The big six wouldn't distribute our film as we are a small British company and don't have the recognition or budget of larger film companies.
This is the logo of a small distribution companies for low budget films, they could potentially distribute our media product however this is unlikely.

Also going straight to DVD could also be an option but not the best, this is partly due to the decline of DVD sales over time and also as we are a small independent company we wouldn't have the recognition for people to buy our product it would also be hard to find a company to retail the DVD.
This is film 4 who could potentially distribute our product on DVD though this is highly unlikely.

So after consideration i have decided that the best way to distribute our media product is through social media e.g. YouTube or Facebook. I chose this as this method is a free and easy way to distribute our film to the masses over a short period of time and also helps us get recognition and potentially get our product out to millions of people.
