2) How does your media product represent particular social groups?

In our film the only social groups that are represented are white teenage males on the working class of society who take part in white collar crime.
This means our media product follows the stereotype that working class people take part in gritty crime,  this means there is somebody more powerful telling them what to do behind the scenes which the viwer doesnt get to see.
The people in our media product are portrayed in a negative light as they are seen to be taking part in crimes and harming others to get what they want.
Other stereotypes are that the youth of today arent nice people and our media product meets this stereotypes.

Blue collar crime.

In our thriller the bosses are all men this meets a stereotype as it suggests that women have no authority, especially in serious things.

The target audience for our media product is young people as from our audience research we found that the main audience of thrillers is teenagers, this is because it is a fast paced high octane film which appeals to the majority of young people and less so to older people.

1) In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge of reral media products?

1) In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge of reral media products?

In our media product we used a number of thriller conventions. One of these conventions was the mucguffin. The macguffin was the usb stick which is pretty irrelivent but is needed to drive the story.
We also use d a number of camera techniques to add dramatic effect to what was happening on screen, the techniques we used was high and low andgles, this made some characters look tall and powerful whilst making others look small and weak. In our media product we challenged no conventions as the oppurtunity to do so didnt occour.
We also used a handheld shot which which gave our media product more realism and put across the type of product that our film is, this is also a thriller conbvention.
We used a number of effects to make our media product look like a more professional product, the main effects we used were transitions.

High angle shot.

From all of the thrillers that i have been studying i think that my media products is most similar to Psycho.

I thinks my media product is most similar to this as it isn't clear who the villain is from the beginning but as the clip goes on the viewer can work out who the good and bad people are, but it takes a while to get there.
Our media product doesn't challenge any media conventions as my group wanted our product to be as thriller like as possible.

Choosing font

When choosing font for our credits we decided to use a very simple white font, we decided to do this so attention isn't taken too much away from whats actually going on on screen. We also decided that the font should be white so that it can be read on a dark background. Our film is quite dark so the text is clearly seen on top of the film.

Finding music

In order to find music for out thriller project I went to youtube, typed in "Thriller music" and found some music that fitted into our video and was not copyrighted.

We was going to use mobygratis.com however you have to wait for a response to see if it is okay to use that music and the response time was to long therefor we was unable to use this for our music.

Animatic

This is the animatic for our final thriller.
